5- Lac de Monteynard – 1h40, 145 km
This one is not the closest lake to Lyon, but it is worth the detour! Lake Monteynard stretches over 20 km, 500 meters above sea level. Two Himalayan footbridges make it possible to cross this large turquoise lake and to pass from the right bank to that of the left.
Moreover, the footbridge hike is 13 km in total between Treffort and Savel. It circumvents Lake Monteynard and spans the Drac and the Ebron in order to change banks. Estimated time of the hike: 3 to 4 hours. To complete the full loop of the hike, it is necessary to take the Mira boat to cross the lake.
